More exhibitors at this year's Littleton and Harestock village show
1Entries must be made on the Official Entry Forms, or a copy of one, and returned to Mr Ron COE at 180, Buriton Road, Harestock, or Mr. Mike LUPTON at 86, Main Road, Littleton (next door to the Running Horse), or Mr Tony ORMSTON at Fairwood, Rewlands Drive, Harestock, not later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 31st August 2011.

Exhibits cannot be accepted at any of these addresses.
2Exhibits must be staged at the Showground before 10 a.m. on the morning of the Show by the exhibitor or a person appointed by the exhibitor.

Judging will commence at 10.30 a.m.
3The exhibit fee is 20p each for the first 25 entries, thereafter all entries FREE. All Young Persons' Classes are 10p.
4No Exhibitor is allowed more than one entry in any one class.
5All competitive entries must have been grown or made by the Exhibitors. Pot plants must have been in the possession of the Exhibitor for at least three months prior to the show. The Committee reserves the right to inspect gardens and/or allotments. All entries in the Young Persons' Classes must be the sole work of the young person.

7All entries in Sections 'A' to 'L' inclusive will be judged in accordance with the R.H.S. Show Handbook. The Floral Art Exhibits (Sections 'M' and 'N') will be judged in accordance with the N.A.F.A.S. Competition Manual, 1st Edition 2001. The W.I. competition will be judged in accordance with the rules of 'On With the Show'.
8The Committee reserves the right to withdraw any prize(s) should the Judges consider the entries to be of insufficient merit.
9Vases, containers or plates will be supplied by the Organiser, except in the Display Classes, the Floral Art and Young Persons' Flower Classes.
10In all Classes where cut material is shown, all stems must reach the water in the vase or receptacle.
11The Committee will not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits or other objects during the day of the show.
12All exhibits in the Vegetables, Flowers and Fruit Sections must have been grown by the Exhibitor. It would be helpful if you could name the variety of your entries, as this will assist the Judges if the standard of entries is close.
13Entries are accepted on the understanding that they remain staged until 5.p.m. when they can be removed. Any remaining at 5.30 p.m. will be disposed of.
14All Classes are open to ALL who wish to enter, given the rules concerning Novice Classes described in Section "B".
15In the Floral Art Sections, the Handwork and Art Sections, materials may be purchased.
16The Show Committee will control the placing of all Exhibits. The Exhibitors are responsible for placing them in the spaces allocated. Exhibit Cards will be supplied and they should be placed face down by the exhibits.
17Points will be awarded as follows:
  • 1st - 5 points
  • 2nd - 3 points
  • 3rd - 1 point
Cups awarded will be held by the Winner for ONE year. They may be won for several years running. Winners are encouraged to have the cups engraved. A list of the winners will be displayed near the entrance of the Marquee.
18Prize money will only be given to 'Display' and 'Young Persons' Sections and will be as follows: Sections "D, E, L, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T"

  • 1st - £1.00
  • 2nd - 60p
  • 3rd - 40p
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 'Highly Commended' stickers will be placed on the Exhibit Cards.
All children 10 years and younger entering the Children's Classes will receive a 'Well Done' Certificate.
19Prizes can be obtained from the Committee Table whilst the Show is open. Any not claimed will be retained by the Show Treasurer for one week, after which they will be returned to the Society Funds.
20Any protest must be made in writing and delivered to a member of the Show Committee personally by 3p.m.on the day of the Show.
21The decision of the Judges and the Show Committee will be final.
22The Show will be run in accordance with the latest R.H.S. Show Handbook.
23No vehicle to approach the Marquee at the end of the Show until it is announced on the Loud Speaker system.
